Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have brilliant minds. They come to school each day ready to learn. They do a lot of cooperative learning projects in class that require partnerships inside and outside of the classroom. Students take on different roles in their groups to give each student the opportunity to take on different responsibilities. They are all at varying levels of language acquisition, literacy, and mathematics. They enjoy the arts and keeping fit. They are motivated learners who are ready to take on challenges and expand their knowledge.
My Project
With the flu and cold season in full force, my first graders need all the help they can get in keeping our classroom germ free! One important thing to always do in order to prevent the spread of germs is to wash our hands and my students could benefit from some hand soap. Also, keeping our classroom clean is key in germ prevention so the clorox wipes are a great resource to help us keep all materials clean and germ free. With so many sneezes and coughs, tissue is keen in keeping my students from spreading any germs to classmates. Booboos are also inevitable, so bandaids are a great way to help heal any cuts or scrapes. The sharpies would assist in keeping all our sanitation and first aid materials labeled for easy identification by all students. Health and wellness is of upmost importance and your help in getting these resources to my students would be greatly appreciated!
