My Students
Your generosity will allow my students a great start to a new year! These supplies are necessary to prepare us for our new HYBRID teaching model. Cleaning supplies, protective masks, gloves and the plexiglass sheild will help us try to get back to our "normal" learning day!
Our school houses almost twelve hundred students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
We are an underfunded, Title I school, in an inner city, where many ethnicities come together to learn and explore while speaking over forty languages! I am excited to meet my class this year, since we all have been in quarantine for months! I can't wait to get us back into our learning routine! The students in my school are children of hard working parents that sometimes struggle to provide for their families. They live in a high poverty area and the students all receive free breakfast and lunch. I want to ease the burden of asking the parents for supplies that are necessary, yet hard to get at a reasonable price.
My Project
Our school will be following a Hybrid teaching model this year. Half the students will attend class two days a week, while the other 3 days they will be learning online. I will conduct lessons through Google Classroom, so the Post-it Chart paper will help immensely! Writing our daily objectives or demonstrating a math problem will be easier to understand while written on the chart paper.
When we are physically in the classroom, the masks, gloves, and cleaning supplies will help keep us from spreading germs to each other.
As I sit at my guided learning table, I can safely progress monitor a student since the Plexiglass sheild will be between us.
