This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a teacher in an impoverished area in the inner city. My sixth grade is comprised of 29 amazing students, all of whom get free lunch and breakfast. They are curious and love to learn. I try to keep our classroom clean and healthy to promote good health and hygiene. The students love the atmosphere of a clean environment. Having materials to promote good health gets very costly, I try to purchase supplies but its hard to do alone.

My Project

I am requesting ways to help keep my students healthy and happy throughout the school year. I try to keep my students healthy by maintaining a clean classroom, however, it is very expensive to purchase these items myself. My classroom consists of low income households that are not able to help with the supplies that we need throughout the year. I like to keep our room clean and free of germs, at the end of each day I try to clean and wipe desks down, but cleaning supplies are very expensive, that's why we need your help. Good health promotes great attendance .
