Help me give my students bring history to life. With the use of new technology my students can create awesome digital projects that are awe inspiring. A color printer would bring these projects to life!
Our school is a public, all-girls, 6-12 school nestled in the heart of Atlanta and is a Title I School where 100% of the student population receives free lunch. The young ladies are resilient, inquisitive, full of energy, and optimistic about the possibilities outside of their immediate and sometimes harsh reality.
Despite the barriers they may encounter, these girls walk into our front doors where there is a full staff waiting to nurture their potential.
Our school has been recognized as a nationally accredited STEM certified school. We believe that learning is an extension of each child's home and community. Though funds are low, our drive is high as we push our girls to become globally conscious, college, and career-ready STEAMinists.
My Project
My girls love technology and use technology on a daily basis. They are constantly searching for new ways to present what they have learned in the classroom. Having a timeline featured in the classroom will help my students retain what they’ve learned and assist them with making real-world connections. As we take a walk through Georgia’s history, we are creating a 3D timeline that will feature student projects. My school has a 3D printer and adding a color printer to our classroom will turn their dull black and white projects into colorful masterpieces!
