My Project

I am lucky enough to work in a district that allows me to teach students from many different backgrounds. I want my classroom to feel like a welcoming and inclusive place where they can all thrive. I hear many students talk about how hard they feel geometry is, but I still want them to look forward to coming to my class.

My goal is to instill a mathematical growth mindset into each and every one of my students so that they no longer have to feel like they are “just bad at math.”

In a space that has all the necessary resources, including folders and other organizational necessities as well as a range of visual geometric tools, but also provides a sense of comfort with motivating decor and social-emotional learning tools, students can build their math confidence regardless of any differences or learning challenges they may face!
