This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is designed to meet some of the sensory needs I have in my class. The Mr. Sketch marker help by providing sensory input while coloring, and will allow one of my vision impaired student the ability to smell the colors.

The trampoline and swing will help to provide sensory input for those who benefit from vestibular motion, and those who need to jump to regulate their bodies.

Jumping provides repetitive sensory input, which can be calming and beneficial for children with sensory processing disorders, helping them better understand their body in relation to their environment.

The geodes are just a fun activity I do with my students each year to show them the magic of the earth.
