My Students
Reading about science is not nearly as fun or memorable as exploring it with samples, experiments and projects. I want my students to love science and all of its wonders.
I teach fourth grade students in a charter school in the inner city that reaches out to high need students and the surrounding community.
My students are hard working and have a love for learning. We have a thematic approach to teaching. While we try to incorporate hands on, real-world activities in our lessons, the funds for the materials are not always available.
My Project
These rock samples and rock discovery kits will help reinforce concepts taught in class. They will be able to explore, observe and experiment with these materials in these kits. The students will have a hands-on interactive approach to learn about the rock cycle, different types of rocks, and the composition of the earth.
These kits and rock samples will help my students see how fun and interesting Earth Science can be!
