Help me give my students Geography puts history in context. It helps us see the why, when, and how of what happened in history. You’ll learn history better by learning geography.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
According to National Geographic, geography is the “study of places and the relationships between people and their environments.” So, you can see that geography is more than just studying maps and knowledge of country capitals.
Geography puts history in context.
It helps us see the why, when, and how of what happened in the past. You’ll learn history better by learning geography. I need these globes for my students because otherwise, they will remain like other American students struggling with geography.
Global History Honors is a rigorous course asking students to work harder and think more deeply than a traditional high school history class. Students will obtain a solid foundation in content and skills in researching, note-taking, analyzing primary and secondary sources, making inferences, generalizing, drawing conclusions, and presenting knowledge. In addition, the students will understand the integration of political, economic, philosophical, social, and geographical elements in world history. This course is truly a world history course with a balanced approach to the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
