My Students

My classroom is a place where the past meets the present! My students are computer savvy and enthusiastic learners who need to achieve the next level of technological and historical success. As their history teacher, it is my goal to teach them about the past while utilizing present day technology.

My students are the best kids I have ever met!

They overcome obstacles in their personal lives and still make it a point to come to school each and every day to better themselves. We are a Title I school in a very under served neighborhood known as Ocean Hill, which is located in Brooklyn, New York. All the children receive free breakfast and lunch. As an educator I refuse to allow my students to be defined by their socioeconomic status. I turn to you to provide my students with the technological tools of today!

My Project

I have requested a printer, computer, paper, ink, toner, Microsoft office software, and accessories in order to complete class activities and print and showcase their amazing work! We have a few computers available for student use in my classroom. Often the students type their papers and are unable to print their work at home. I would like to provide a place for them to print their work in order to ensure that it is handed in on time and to allow my students to feel the value of a completed piece of work hot off the press!

By donating to my project you are ensuring that all learners in my classroom receive a quality education regardless of their geographic location, their socioeconomic status, or the neighborhoods in which they reside.

Helping to provide my students with these resources will prepare them for high school, college, and beyond. Using technology is an important skill that all 21st century learners must master; this is the first step.
