This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The students here love their music classes from Music History to Guitar class. I try to give them what they need for their music classes. You see the results of the Piano, Guitar, and band classes at each concert throughout the school year.
I teach at an inner-city school that has a high level of exceptional students who enjoy going to school and learning.
It's my job to provide them with whatever they need to learn and achieve their goals in education. My school is small and doesn't get the funding that other schools do. It's important to educate the whole child and music is a part of that.
My Project
It's important to educate the whole child and music is a part of that. The students at this High School do very well at music and they will continue to in college as a music major or just playing in college ensembles as a music minor. The students who have been in band in the past have taken their love of music with them to college and participated in music classes and ensembles all over the country. The feeling of being together in a group of friends and playing music is something they want to keep in their lives even when they leave High School. I have requested reeds for different woodwind instruments , music for Concert Band that the students picked out, headsets for Piano Class and cleaning cloths for some instruments.
I want my students to have what they need to succeed in music or whatever they want to achieve in life.
