Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Protein synthesis is the step-by-step process of gene expression. This concept can sometimes be challenging for students to follow as many steps are involved. This topic is relevant; as all living things undergo gene expression.
Hands on activities are best for keeping students engaged in learning the process of gene expression.
When students apply concepts they are learning, there is more understanding. Students will model the processes of DNA transcription to RNA and RNA translation to a protein using DNA sequences, mRNA (codons), tRNA (anticodons) make of laminated card stock and paper
I have not been able to find a complete kit or set up that is exactly what my students need, so I am creating my own. My modeling activity requires laminated card stock annd paper, containers to keep each set organized, and production, materials to create my modeling sets.
