Gearing Up for the Garden

My Project

Over the course of two days, our school garden club doubled in size! While we are THRILLED to have so many students interested in helping with the garden even outside of school hours, we realized there are a few things we need.

We need some larger gardening gloves, we need aprons with pockets, and we need large buckets.

We have a few older students participating now whose hands are too big for the gardening gloves we have; we want to make sure that they are able to stay safe and protected while working in the garden. A few students asked if we had aprons they could wear, which we realized was a great idea, because they could also use the pockets to hold on to seeds, tools, and more when they aren't immediately needed. Finally, we need some large buckets to help us collect the weeds and sticks easily, move soil around to the different beds with ease, and use as storage when needed.

We are so happy with how the interest in our school garden has grown (pun intended!), and we can't wait to keep taking it to the next level!
