This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am teaching at a Title 1 school where students will be coming from all kinds of diverse backgrounds and varying experiences. Students often come to school without the necessary supplies and materials that are needed for our daily instruction. This project includes items that will benefit their individual work and whole group lessons overall.
I want to give my children all of the necessary resources that they will need, such as headphones and dry erase lapboards, to get the best education that they can.
This includes school supplies, age-appropriate classroom decor, educational posters, classroom management tools, etc.
Every classroom needs ample resources that sets students up for success. With the addition of these resources, students will be free to showcase their creativity, remain engaged, and push themselves to their full academic potential. This project will drastically change the amount of activities and lessons we are able to do in my classroom. Students learn in all different ways and the inclusion of these materials in our classroom will allow students to explore learning in a way that is best for them.
