My Project

Journalism is project-based learning! My students are learning technical photography, videography, and editing. My students are learning collaboration in crews. My students are learning writing and speaking skills.

Our school's news program produces many videos on a two to three week cycle.

We conduct interviews, capture B-Roll, set up lower thirds and credits, and edit everything into final cuts.

We also cover school events, including sports, assemblies, music performances, drama, and academic activities.

Our program has a dedicated classroom, gear, and a teacher devoted to making our news program the best middle school program in the state.
