My Project
I teach elementary health and physical education students in kindergarten through sixth grade in a rural, low-income community in Central Pennsylvania.
I also am the assistant coach for our girl's varsity soccer program.
Last season, we were able to put together a 19-1 season and grow a lot as a team. Our girls are dedicated, hardworking, and trying to prove that they belong with the top teams in the state.
As a coach, my goal is to help make my athletes well-rounded people on and off the field - not just better soccer players. We spend a lot of time on growth mindset, nutrition, and team building. As part of our nutrition talks this offseason, we learned a lot about staying hydrated.
Our girl's high school soccer team is requesting mini Gatorades for our upcoming season. Being able to provide our athletes with proper hydration at halftime during games this fall season would be a great help to reinforce what they've learned.
The 32 athletes on our team work hard and have big goals for our season. Any help to reach those goals would be appreciated!
