This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every day, my students start off in our gathering circle. After they take care of housekeeping, we come together to discuss what we will be learning about today. They can't wait to start the fun learning. This is our motto: Listen, Think, and Try! My students work hard every day and they are super eager to learn.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds.
They range from students who are learning the English language (ELL/ESL students) to ones who are special education students and everyone in between. The community is very supportive of our school, and we work to meet the needs of all our students.
My Project
My classroom is in need of a carpet so we can gather for lessons and read alouds. The students will have a comfortable gathering spot for all of the students. This classroom was a first grade class last year so they didn’t have a carpet. The students will be able to sit and work on reading, writing, and math lessons.
It’s also a great place to gather for morning meetings, author’s chair, and show and tell!
