My Students

I will be teaching at a small rural Title I school that is very diverse. Due to budget constraints, furniture supplies for creating an environment conducive to learning for my students is lacking.

The students enter the school doors eager to engage in a day full of learning!

I am new to the school as a 1st grade teacher and excited about an adventurous year with my students. I want my students to enter an environment that is welcoming and allows them to be at their best.

My Project

These rugs will be utilized everyday. This is where my students will begin their day with a smile, greeting each other, reading a morning message from the teacher, play games, and learn in front of our smartboard. This is where majority of the learning takes place as well as the meeting place of where our community is formed.

I am a teacher who will be teaching her first year in a new school.

For the past few years I have been a resource teacher, so I am hoping that a few generous people will help me create a very community based learning environment that all students will enthusiastically enjoy entering.
