I am so lucky to have a wonderful group of bright and strong willed students that I have the opportunity to teach AND who teach me every day. Since our school is a Title I school, many of my students face so many challenges not only at school, but also at home. Sometimes, these challenges at home make it very difficult for them to focus and feel successful at school.
Every day my lively bunch of students come to school with a huge smile on their faces, and so eager to learn what is ahead of them.
This year, I will have the opportunity again to teach a diverse group of six and seven year-olds who will become mathematicians, scholars, scientists and most importantly, friends who support one another.
My Project
I need to be able to display all there is to learn in an engaging and convientent way for my first graders. Not only will this easel be the center of our morning meeting that will hold our morning message, but it will be a place where students stretch their brains learning new phonics, reading stories, solving math problems and more! My students love to be helpers and show what they know in front of their classmates. With an easel, they will have many opportunities to shine and inspire others. This easel will be such an amazing focal point in our classroom where not only I, but also my students will be teaching!
