My students need a dry erase flower whiteboard table to collaborate on group projects.

My Students
My 5th grade students attend a public school in New York and are in an ICT classroom. All of my students are eager to learn! However, some of my students have special needs and need a lot of support to achieve their learning goals. They try their best but are often discouraged due to the high Common Core standards they are expected to meet. They are all capable of learning. I hope to motivate my students to be excited about learning and surround them with a supportive, engaging, and safe learning environment.
My students are visual and kinesthetic learners.
My Project
My students need a flower all purpose table so that they can come together and work on group projects. This table will provide an area where students can come to talk, work out problems, and gather their ideas.
“Community means that people come together around the table, not just to feed their bodies, but to feed their minds and their relationships.”— Henri J.M.
Nouwen
It is so important to foster collaborative discussions about meaningful topics and books we are reading. This is the year our students become more independent and in charge of their learning.
Fifth grade is the year when all of the most extraordinary books become open and available to children. Fifth grade is a time for intellectual as well as physical growth! This is why we need this flower table so that our growing students can have a space to come together, gather around, and talk thoughtfully.
