Gardens Grow When Watered Slow

Help me give my students the materials needed to sustain a bountiful garden utilizing organic fertilizer, vertical gardening techniques, and soaker hoses. Students will how optimize water usage by utilizing soaker hoses and timers.

My Project

Students will learn to be responsible water conservationists by using the timer and soaker hoses to water the raised and in-ground garden beds. They will bury the leader hose and the soaker hoses and will be taught how to use a timer to water garden beds at the optimal time during the day.

Our student and community volunteers will reap the benefits of gardening by responsibly watering and maintaining the garden throughout the growing season, including the summer.

They will learn how to utilize cages to grow tomatoes, zucchini, and other climbing plants.

Gardening is a life-long skill and the advisors at Lincoln Elementary are committed to teaching/learning through hands-on experiences. Our students from K through 5th Grade will benefit from this garden!
