My Project

These materials will all help my class to learn about growing plants and vegetables! They will be able to monitor their plant growth and understand the variables that contribute to growing plants.

Our school has raised garden beds that have been neglected, so these weeding tools, nursery pots, and pruning shears will help us to clean them up and learn about sustainability all at the same time!

Giving my students opportunities to grow plants and vegetables hydroponically and in soil will allow them to have a broad understanding of plant growth.

I am also excited to allow them to grow their own food. Growing up in a city, many of them have never learned about or visited farms or gardens, so they do not necessarily know where their food comes from. These materials (and items to clean up from our gardening) will give them a lesson on food to table and let them eat food that they grew from seeds!
