This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 3rd grade students can't wait to learn how to grow and then transplant to our gardening beds. Learning how to grow vegetables, fruits, and herbs. While simultaneously learning about the environment and how we can eat healthier.
Learning new ways to garden using a hydroponic system and transplanting.
These supplies will help us get started with gardening this year. We will transfer the seeds once they have sprouted to gardening beds. Learning to grow food is an essential so my students can continue doing this for the rest of their lives.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
