Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our ELA unit, students have been learning about their environment. Some of the things they were most interested in were knowing where their food comes from and learning about how flowers & plants grow. Due to this unit, students grew interested in planting vegetables and flowers for our school. Receiving these materials would allow students to have hands-on experience with gardening. We are applying what they learned in the text and creating our school garden. This project would reach 55 students who are English language learners and are eager to learn and apply their life gardening experiences that they have learned in their native countries.
