This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

With all of the educational gaps that Covid has created, I am moving from resource to being a second-grade teacher! I am thrilled to be part of the general education team and helping teachers with differentiation in their classroom setting.

With a wide range of needs, all of my students need helpful resources to self-regulate and be successful while building their confidence.

Now more than ever, students need seating options to help them transition back into the classroom setting!

My Project

We have been working hard to get our garden bed in good shape by pulling weeds, learning about our environment, composting, and implementing worms for maximum benefits! These tools will further our ability to grow our own foods, build connections to agriculture, all while having fun in the dirt!

Hand tools will ensure that we can properly care for our soil and plants while also preserving all of the microbes that we need for a healthy garden!

Hand tilling is also healthier for our garden and students take great pride in watering our garden bed and could use a little length to their second-grade physique to reach the middle without stepping into the bed.
