Help me give my students garden supplies, such as garden gloves, seeds, bulbs, soil, water cans, worms, butterflies, and gardening tools, to use in our school's garden.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This year I have been taking my 3-5 grade students into the school garden to learn about various topics like weather and climate, compare and contrast deciduous and conifer trees, and leaf patterns, and having them create terrariums. So far this year students have been having a blast in the school garden.
Unfortunately, my students have been unable to plant in the garden due to a lack of supplies.
They do not have access to soil, bulbs, seeds, gardening tools, gloves, water cans, or garden benches to sit on. I want my students to learn about nature within their community.
