This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are in need of gardening tools to help maintain and develop the our garden. We have started on it but do not have the tools needed to continue moving forward with it. With these items my students will learn how to maintain the garden area, prepare the soil for seeds, and grow plants and vegetables that they will be able to eat and share with others.
My students enjoy being able to get outside a little and work in our garden learning how to make the rows, spacing, and research as to what to plant and when.
They are learning lasting lessons they can carry forward with them into adulthood while making the area look better and reaping the rewards of their hard work.
