This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Life Lab garden is an important space for our students to explore, play, connect with one another, and further their own relationship with the Earth. This year, I'm hoping to revitalize our garden and strengthen our curriculum to better serve Life Lab's mission of increasing student's love of nutritious food through garden based education.

The garden classroom builds equity and empowers students to be caretakers--for themselves, their community, and the earth.

They deserve an up-to-date space where they can continue to learn, and bring home recipes, ingredients, and knowledge about their environments to share with their families.

The items requested for this project will ensure equitable access to new cooking equipment, organization materials, and gardening tools in our outdoor classroom space.
