This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have recently taken over the school garden and I would love to integrate garden education into our regular curriculum. We can use these items after school with the garden club. The garden club has been slowly growing over the past couple of years and this will help us extend our learning from our school to our homes and our community.

With these items (worms, mason jars, essential oils, bottles, and more), we will be able to make essential oils, seed balls, pickles, pesto, hielitos, germinate seeds, and compost with worms!

My students are very excited to start working in the garden and sharing our knowledge with the community. Thank you for helping us with this goal!
