Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every now and then we just need to sit back and breathe. My students are no different. We enjoy having a garden we can go to and have fresh air and enjoy our surroundings.
We are trying to offer a relaxation destination for other students and our community.
With this project our garden area will not only supply items to give to our community, but it will also offer a place to sit and relax while taking in the view. Not all gardens are just for growing fruits and vegetables. Some offer a place of solace. This is what we are trying to do with these items.
My students will learn how to design an area, how to use tools to put things together, and what it feels like to give back to our community. Our area is able to be seen from the street. This adds beauty to our school and makes it more inviting also.
