This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come to school so energized and ready to learn everyday! I have a Dual Language classroom where my students are excelling in their native language. However, when it comes to the afternoon and English is being taught, they clam up and their demeanor changes! Those students that are more proficient than others try to engage their less proficient peers in conversations but they close up.
Adding English Language games to my instruction will allow my students to engage through play and feel free to express themselves.
These games will offer an environment where my students practice new words, get out of their shell and most importantly excel in a second language!
