This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are a fun bunch of 4th graders who come to school every day ready to learn and eager to participate in all of our classroom activities. One of the things I appreciate about my students the most is their willingness to try out anything I throw at them, even if it might be new and/or uncomfortable. They also love to play games.
Through this project I am seeking to capitalize on these attributes to provide high quality reading games that students will enjoy playing and will help them grow their decoding and comprehension skills.
While we have a small collection of games in the classroom, these games have been well loved and played ad nauseam, so it's safe to say it's time for some upgrades.
Your donation will allow us to receive new decoding and comprehension games for students to play during their reading centers.
