Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It is so important to create a learning environment that is fun, engaging, and inclusive. Students should feel safe to take academic risks, but also challenged to push understanding.
Kahoot is an education technology service that maximizes engagement in the classroom through gamified learning.
Kahoot helps students retain information and has proven to boost motivation in and out of class. Through surveys and feedback, I know that students look forward to learning through playing Kahoot and are learning much quicker through repeated sessions.
At the end of 2022, I was able to test out free trials of Kahoot's new game activities. Students absolutely loved collaborating with their peers to "win" together, and learned lots of vocabulary and drilled algebra concepts in the process.
The year subscription of "Kahoot!+ Max Teacher" features:
- Play games with up to 400 players
- Combine reports to track student progress
- Create student-paced kahoot assignments without deadlines
- Boost collaboration with custom teams and team names
