it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is geared to teach compassion by teaching my students how to take turns and have good sportsmanship. Fairness is a large aspect of compassion and by being able to play fair and show good sportsmanship and to respect your opponent teaches students to show compassion to each other in a healthy way. Kids are always competitive and at times can be insensitive and mean to beat their opponent. These Jenga and connecting four games will be a great activity to practice taking turns and having fun while being up against an opponent. We will make this activity a whole group lesson and have the kids come up in front of the class and take turns and laugh and have fun while also learning to show compassion to your opponents.
