This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how my students bring their full, authentic selves into the classroom each day. They are curious, compassionate, and full of potential. What inspires me most is their willingness to grow—not just academically, but emotionally and socially as well. They are learning how to be better friends, better problem-solvers, and better humans.

The resources I’m requesting—SEL-focused games—will provide meaningful, hands-on opportunities for my students to practice important life skills like empathy, communication, teamwork, and emotional regulation.

These games create safe, engaging ways for students to connect with each other, build confidence, and work through real-world social situations in a low-stress environment. With each roll of the dice during "Trouble", puzzle piece set on one of the "Classroom Floor Puzzles - Complete Set" or turn taken in "Twister," they’ll be developing stronger relationships and deeper self-awareness. These tools will make our classroom not just a place of learning, but a place of belonging.
