My Students

Welcome to Donors choose. Please help us. We need educational software! Many of my students are second language learners and face many challenges. Computer games will greatly help them.

My students are energetic, curious, and enjoy using computers any chance they get.

They attend a small school in California that lacks a computer lab and basic computer experiences. These children are very active and enjoy educational games. Many come from low-income homes in which parents have limited resources.

My Project

Educational software will provide fourth grade students with engaging activities in reading and math. They will be able use the computers as part of small groups during the school day. Students will have lots of fun as they master important strategies and skills in both reading and math. These strategies include vocabulary skills, reading to find the main ideas, sequencing, and distinguishing between fact and opinion. In math, they will review concepts such as: fractions, problem solving, probability, decimals, and 1 and 2 digit multiplication.

Everyone learns in different ways.

This project will provide struggling students with alternative opportunities to learn concepts. It will promote reading through technology, which kids love. In addition, they will learn basic computer skills as they play exciting educational games.
