Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The requested board games and learning toys are going to be put to good use in our program. We use game based learning to teach our students many different skills, most importantly, how to interact with their peers, follow directions, and wait for their turn. These are a few basic skills that we emphasize as they will be needed for many different tasks throughout our students' lives. The social/emotional items will be utilized by students who require a few extra supports when it comes to sharing their emotions during emotion check-ins.

The hands-on learning and practice will allow my students to have fun while also learning important skills.

The requested materials will be of high use by individuals with moderate to severed disabilities and my students in my special day class will be highly appreciative. My class will be grateful for the games, sensory materials, and emotional support items.
