Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

People use logic and social skills everyday, especially in the classroom. One of the first ways we learn these skills is through play. I have found many of my students lacking in both of these skills and that for many of them, they have never played boardgames with friends and families.

It is my goal to help teach logic, reasoning, and social skills through play, specifically boardgames.

Boardgames allow students to practice teaching, listening, explaining, taking turns and so much more. Logic and reasoning skills are also learned by finding the the best moves, planning ahead, blocking others, and more. The best part is that students are having fun without realizing they are learning.

Please help me bring "old fashioned" fun and "secret" learning to my students.
