My Project

Some students have access to educational math games at home while others do not. Students that have the accessibility to educational games have a head start in many concepts. The home learning environment is a major factor in a child's learning trajectory. When teaching coordinates in math, the students that have played coordinate games learn the concept more quickly. The game Battleship is a popular game that teaches coordinates. Any time that learning can happen with a game, the learning happens more quickly. It is also just a lot more fun. Because not all students have access to this game at home, I would like for students to be able to check out this game and take turns taking it home.

These resources will be shared with our whole grade so that all students will have the opportunity to learn coordinates and grow as math students.
