Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are in the Highest Poverty, At-Risk Academically, Socially, and Economically demographic area. They need opportunities for technology and an updated classroom environment. We are very grateful to integrate Google Chromebook Classroom. Our Science Class requires project-based and collaboration to stimulate science models and techniques for student achievement.
My students will stimulate learning and awareness by implementing labs during research.
This provides college readiness and the global carbon footprint for them to set goals in the world to be future leaders. Next Generation Science Standards requires class collaboration, research, design, and modeling.
By providing adequate lab materials and supplies the students will explore and examine research data fit for science labs, this will rejuvenate success and self-esteem. A research-based environment provides opportunities for visual and tactile experiences while learning research and writing in the content area of science.
My Project
These materials make a difference in my science class for students' collaborative learning. Picture the students interactively learning to analyze data from games. Students will be grouped, have fun, make different types of graphs and build a positive learning community. I will teach them how learning science is adventurous and different in their everyday lessons. The outcome will be providing motivation and self-esteem to not be scared of being a scientist or mathematician. Games help students to become a part of a team as well as take responsibility for their own learning. They can also be a great classroom management tool, helping to motivate a class. By playing games, students become more motivated to learn, pay attention, and participate in set tasks
