My Project
My students are a wonderful group of kindergarten though second graders that are also students that are English Learners. One area we work on in my classroom is speaking. Usually when we work on speaking, we are using the curriculum that the school provides. We are working on academic vocabulary and how to use it when discussing stories read in class.
Speaking about games will be so exciting for my students!
If given the opportunity to engage with other students in a game setting, they will be having fun while practicing their English skills when speaking. This will give them practice just interacting with others while they are reading the game rules, game cards, and listening to their peers speak during the game. I know these games will provide educational experiences for my students, but they will just think they are having fun!
