Sometimes it just makes learning a little more fun to have snacks to choose from while getting our work done. We've since used the materials to begin growing lettuce, basil, and other leafy greens right in our classroom.\r\n\r\n Students will plant growth, adjust light and water levels, and record their observations in science journals. It will be amazing to watch them connect our science lessons to something they can see and touch every day. This year, the only way we could have done this project was if it was funded by donors. You have no idea how many smiles you have created by funding this project. You have made them proud of their work, more interested in science than ever, and have created a lasting impact on their learning. They have their bridges still on display, and the parents were able to see them during parent teacher conferences. The parents were extremely pleased. We are going to test their strength tomorrow, and compare the strongest bridges with the weakest to determine what worked best and what did not work.
