They saw what my former students did last year with the bridges, and from day one, were constantly asking \"when are we going to do the bridge project?\" Last year, I paid for the materials, but it was costly. This year, the only way we could have done this project was if it was funded by donors. You have no idea how many smiles you have created by funding this project. You have made them proud of their work, more interested in science than ever, and have created a lasting impact on their learning. They have their bridges still on display, and the parents were able to see them during parent teacher conferences. The parents were extremely pleased. We are going to test their strength tomorrow, and compare the strongest bridges with the weakest to determine what worked best and what did not work.
