Our school serves over 1,000 students...and that's just in grades 3-6! We have a large ESE population, and an amazing staff to support their needs. The students at our school come from various socioeconomic backgrounds, and some have limited resources.
However, they always come to school with a smile on their faces and are ready to learn!
We have a strong school community, teachers that plan engaging lessons, and staff/parents that are willing to go the extra mile for our students!
My Project
We need additional reading games to practice learned skills in a fun and exciting way! Apples to Apples and 5 Second Rule are games we frequently play to build language skills such as categorizing and vocabulary. The junior editions will allow them to access the game content more easily.
Sensory tools allow students a chance to refocus, calm their minds and bodies, and then return to learning.
When students become frustrated or upset they are unable to learn and these tools give them a way to redirect their energy and get back to the learning environment as quickly as possible.
