My Project
With your help I will be able to purchase a variety of interactive games that holds young children's attention. Majority of these games on the list have the cause-and-effect feature which is something that my students really respond too. For example, a game that has an animal that pops if a random piece is pulled. Games with this type of interactive element encourages active participation, increase visual attention, and overall fun for all ages.
My goal for the students is to fuel excitement, building social skills and working on foundational skills such as turn taking, fine motor skills and problem-solving skills.
Many of my students lack play skills and they are content with sitting by their selves' manipulating objects. Their actions may have purpose to them however their peers may not understand or be able to engage. Play skills is an area that I work on during group sessions. These games would be very beneficial in focusing on play skills and building relationships with peers.
