Games are important tools in the classroom to learn social skills and listening skills. Games enhance learning by tackling multiple goal areas at once. All kids learn differently and games are one way to incorporate tactile and visual learning all at the same time.
Game Time for Speech and Language has one goal: to learn using games!
As an early intervention SLP, it is important to use manipulatives to keep attention. By using games in speech, my students will be able to work on a variety of goals such as articulation, receptive and expressive language, social language, and cognitive goals such as problem-solving and reasoning.
Our school serves students with a variety of disabilities, with autism being the number one diagnosis. These games will help students with global developmental delay, other health impaired, learning disabled, and intellectually disabled students.
