My students love to explore and create. They are curious children who love to learn by doing and creating. My students come from very diverse backgrounds; yet, you would not know it when you walk into the classroom. We all interact and enjoy learning together.
Learning by doing is a focus in my school and classroom.
We make the most out of what we have. We don't focus on what we can't do; instead, we focus on what we can do.
My Project
Math is an important tool to have. Having fun games to practice will allow the students to work on their math skills while having fun. Many of these games work on the basic facts of adding and subtracting. This is an important skill for my students to understand and master, because it will help them in the grades to come. While they don't spend all their time playing games, it is a nice break for them to have some fun while practicing those skills.
These games also allow the students to work on other skills besides Math.
They will have experience of working with others and solving problems. Students do not always get along in the classroom. These games will give them another area where they can explain their reasons, justify what they were thinking, and practice how to communicate with others.
