My Students
My kids are characters! Big hearts, big smiles, and excited to learn! They are bright and hardworking!
Many of my students are ELLs and come from lower-income families.
They come from diverse families, some are new to the country, and many deal with a lot of problems at a young age. They are so full of possibilities and hope. I want them to have a classroom where they feel safe, confident, and are empowered in their learning.
Every child deserves the best in their education.
My Project
With all of the stress that has come with COVID and how it has effected learning in my classroom, I want to make sure that my young students remember their time this year in a positive way.
Playing games in the classroom increases overall motivation.
The Jenga Game, basketball set, and sticky ball dartboard will be used for test reviews and class engagement. By playing games, students become more motivated to learn, pay attention and participate in learning tasks. Games help students to become a part of a team as well as take responsibility for their own learning.
The books are to inspire, encourage, motivate, and inform my students. Social emotional learning is key this year. There is power in a motivational story to comfort, teach, and support. The tickets and prizes are to recognize their hard work.
