My Students

My 4th-grade students need Game On In! A game club to become connected and confident.

Our class is made up of 24 very active-oriented students, 12 boys and 12 girls.

We are a consolidated school district of three small towns. Due to the majority of our students being on free/reduced-price lunch, this year we offer free lunch to all students. Many students have never learned to play games. Students will have the opportunity to play some old games and learn some new ones. A great way to connect with their peers and gain some confidence.

My Project

Game On In! is a game club for any 4th grade student to join over their lunch hour once a week. Students will be able to make connections with classmates and leaders outside of the curriculum.

Cooperative games like Snap Circuits, Spot It, Winning Moves, and Gravity Maze give students the opportunity to work with other 4th grade students that might not normally be part of their group.

Students will gain confidence as they participate with others on a level playing field.

Spaceteam, Codenames, Rhino Hero are set up to win as a team. It helps students work together to solve problems and use individual abilities to achieve the goal of the group.
