This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach second grade at a primary school that is located in a small low-income community, with more than three-fourths of our students receiving free or reduced lunch. Each classroom consists of a diverse group of students coming from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, including Hispanics, students with special needs, gifted and talented students, students of different races and sexes, and all with different needs.
Each year brings a new set of students who are diverse.
I love to find ways to meet each of my student’s needs individually.
I am my students' voice and it's my job to make their education fun. Every child is capable of learning in their own way. It's my job to help them discover themselves and have fun while learning.
My Project
Having board games, file folder games, and dice will allow my students to have fun and learn at the same time. The interactive games will be a great way to create a fun learning environment while practicing and reinforcing math and reading skills.
Reading and math can be enjoyable and this project will allow my students to enjoy learning.
Games are a great way to learn to work with others. Students need to take a break from sitting in their desks and listening to the teacher. They need to move around and interact with each other. Who wouldn't love to learn and play a board game? By supporting this project, you will allow my students to have that chance!
