This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It's hard being a middle school student these days. They go from one class to another, and just work, work, work. They really need a safe space--which they have in my library!--and things to do in their spare time. As the library is open before school, during lunch, and after school, I would like to give them fun things to do that also teach other skills while they are in here.

For example, Life, Uno, and Trouble all encourage thought and creativity, and can also generate a whole lot of silliness.

All games I'm asking for require more than one player, so they help support creation of community and life skills.
