My Students

I teach 4th grade at a Title I. School. We have a diverse population of Caucasian, Hispanic, and African-American students. My students are visual and kinesthetic learners. They enjoy working with their classmates in small groups or with a partner. My students struggle with inferencing, main idea, & summarizing. As a small Title I school, our resources are limited. My students deserve the best education possible!

My Project

My students need a reading and writing file folder game library. This will offer my students a hands-on approach to practice vocabulary, grammar, writing, and reading comprehension skills for literature and informational text. These resources will provide my students will multiple opportunities to practice these skills independently, with a partner, or in small groups. Main Idea and making inferences are two difficult skills for students to master. My students need two finding evidence kits to help reinforce these skills.

The file folder games and finding evidence kits will help provide an engaging and hands-on approach to mastering these difficult skills!
